Aphex Twin – Peel Session 1992 – Live From Sheffield Hallam University 1993

Richard David James aka Aphex Twin is an Irish born British electronic musician and composer based in London

If you are familiar with Aphex Twin then you will know how much of an inspiration this guy is musically across the globe and within the techno community. The guy is a genius!!! And when i say “Genius”, i mean “GENIUS” with a capital “G” you don’t have to delve too far to find out more about Richard’s twisted illustration on music.

For one simple example of Richard’s mind; floating a airship – which featured the digits “2014” that was spotted hovering above the Oval Space in Hackney August 16th last year In June, fans of Aphex Twin purchased digital copies of his rare album ‘Caustic Window’ via a Kickstarter campaign. A physical copy of the record – which only reached the pressing phase in 1994 before being scrapped – was auctioned on eBay and sold for £27,198. Money raised from the sale was reportedly split evenly between those who paid into Kickstarter, James himself and an unnamed charity.

There are many unique and inspirational things Richard wants to share with the world musically and I’m not here to show you everything but have a listen to this early Aphex Twin – Peel Session 1992 / Live From Sheffield Hallam University in 1993 that Paul Woolford just added to his Soundcloud…. Epic stuff!!!!!
